Open Position (x5): Community Ambassador

This position will be on demand basis. Community Ambassadors will be contacted by the Recruitment Team Lead to schedule presentations. The Community Ambassador will be paid per completed presentation.

We are actively seeking to hire multiple Community Ambassadors to complete presentations throughout the months of April, May and June. This position will report to the Recruitment Team Lead. This position will be flexible with hours, but applicants must be available to work hours within Monday to Friday (8:30 - 5:30).

Community ambassadors serve as the intermediary between the youth band programs (Calgary Round-Up Band and Calgary Stetson Show Band) and the external community. Presentations given should be presented effectively, with enthusiasm, and in a relatable way to the audience. Community ambassadors must possess genuine interest and support for the programs being offered and maintain a positive, friendly outlook. Having an adaptable communication style is important to be able to interact with a variety of ages and backgrounds.

Specific tasks may include:
• Facilitating school presentations and/or community presentations or events

• Collecting prospective member feedback and data for further contact
• Answering community members’ questions
• Communicating with other team members and community ambassadors about availability, successes, and shortcomings
• Promoting the benefits of being involved in the Calgary Round-Up Band and Calgary Stetson Show Band
